5 Celebrity Podcasts We Love to Watch
From a Living Single rewatch that feels like a reunion to a big-sis chat with Michelle Obama, these shows keep the conversation going—on pop culture, relationships, motherhood, and legacy.
Listening to and watching podcasts hosted by our favorite celebrities and public figures makes us feel like we’re part of the conversation. And if you haven’t tapped in for a minute, just know the game has changed: a lot of these shows are basically mini talk shows now, with full video on YouTube, bite-size clips everywhere, and hosts who come with notes. To join the chat, here are five celebrity podcasts we love—fronted by dynamic sisters like Michelle Obama, Keke Palmer, Erika Alexander, Lena Waithe, and Sherri Shepherd—covering everything from pop culture and relationships to motherhood, legacy, and more.
1. ReLiving Single
The sitcom Living Single debuted in a ’90s kind of world, but we’re glad we still got our girls. Since the hit series—starring Queen Latifah, Kim Fields, Kim Coles, and Erika Alexander—ended in 1998, fans have clamored for a reboot. And although it’s not exactly the reunion we craved, we enjoy revisiting the trailblazing series with ReLiving Single, the “official unofficial” rewatch podcast hosted by Coles and Alexander.
“You’ll hear stories you’ve never heard before, but the best part of the rewatch series is on screen—Kim and I, like a pair of vampires, ain’t aged a day!” Alexander said in a statement.
On the podcast’s first season, Coles and Alexander caught up with former castmates, including Latifah, Fields, and T.C. Carson, and had thoughtful conversations with actress Cree Summer and lawyer and activist Stacey Abrams.
2. Baby, this is Keke Palmer
We’ve watched Keke Palmer blossom from the cutie in Akeelah and the Bee into an alien-fighting sister in Nope and a comedic sidekick to SZA in One of Them Days. In recent years, the lovely and multitalented actress, singer, and mom added podcast host to her glowing résumé. On Baby, this is Keke Palmer, gracious guests like Taraji P. Henson, Lizzo, Danielle Brooks, Coco Jones, and Mariah Carey literally kiki with the congenial Keke.
“The biggest thing is, I love to talk. [The podcast] is all the things I’m interested in, from relationships to generational [conversations] to work-life balance—all those things—with interesting guests,” Palmer told the TODAY show when the podcast debuted in 2022.
3. Legacy Talk with Lena Waithe
With her popular podcast, Emmy-winning writer, producer, and actor Lena Waithe gives Black Hollywood trailblazers like Debbie Allen, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Jenifer Lewis, Tisha Campbell, Vivica A. Fox, Loretta Devine, and Phylicia Rashad their flowers.
“This show is so much more than just a series of interviews—it is a celebration of the stories and voices of some of the most renowned Black leaders in entertainment. It is real, unfiltered conversations about their journeys, challenges, and the legacies they have built,” Waithe told Deadline.
4. Two Funny Mamas with Sherri Shepherd and Kym Whitley
Funny ladies Sherri Shepherd and Kym Whitley joined forces to deliver a delightful podcast that has garnered three NAACP Image Awards and speaks to sisterhood and working women everywhere. The podcast sometimes features guests like Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and fellow comedians Cedric the Entertainer and Tiffany Haddish. But other times, the successful single moms entertain with keep-it-real conversations and scenarios like Whitley’s mad dash to fix her wig and pull up her Spanx during a medical emergency.
“People really respond to the real-life stuff, like when I talk about my son Jeffrey, dating disasters, getting ghosted…all of it. Yeah, they like the celebrity tea, but what they love is when I talk about hot flashes in the middle of a conversation or being in an Uber asking the driver to turn down the music, and he won’t. That’s the stuff they connect with—the vulnerability, the messiness, the everyday moments,” Shepherd said in an interview.
5. IMO with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson
We will always admire our forever POTUS Michelle Obama as a style icon and as a reminder to go high when they go low. But it’s nice to get to know Obama better on her weekly podcast with her big brother.
“My brother Craig and I launched the IMO podcast to create space for people to come as they are, ask honest questions, give their opinions, and have thoughtful conversations about life,” Obama shared in the podcast’s launch announcement.
She added, “There’s no single way to deal with the challenges we may be facing—whether it’s family, faith, or our personal relationships—but taking the time to open up and talk about these issues can provide hope.”
Notable guests on the first season include former President—and Michelle’s bae—Barack Obama; Oscar nominee and Tony winner Cynthia Erivo; Grammy-winning singer Victoria Monét; multi-hyphenate Issa Rae; and director Spike Lee.
